Vendrán lluvias suaves


Vendrán las lluvias suaves y el olor a tierra
Y el leve ruido del vuelo de las golondrinas



El canto nocturno de los sapos en los charcos

La trémula blancura del ciruelo silvestre


Los ruiseñores con sus plumas de fuego

Silbando sus caprichos en la alambrada



Y ninguno sabrá si hay guerra

Ni le importará el final, cuando termine



A nadie le importaría, ni al pájaro ni al árbol,

Si desapareciera la humanidad



Ni la primavera, al despertar al alba,

Se enteraría de que ya no estamos.

Supongo que nadie va a leer esta entrada. Vagando por la web, leyendo un blog literario que marqué hace mucho pero leo de vez en cuando, encontré este poema y me acordé de que el poema de despedida de Pan de humo de Pepo era de esta autora, y me dio ganas de compartirlo. Es muy suave, me gusta. Hace mucho que no sé nada los pandehumeros excepto Toni. Felicidades para todos, si me leen, yo soy muy feliz.  Paz, amor, buena salud y poesía para todos!

There Will Come Soft Rains

There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;

And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white;

Robins will wear their feathery fire,
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;

And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree,
If mankind perished utterly;

And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn
Would scarcely know that we were gone.
